Keirsten Roath has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Indiana since 1999 and earned her Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from Indiana University in 1996. Keirsten's employment in social services counseling exceeds 20 years and includes extensive experience working with children, adults and families.

Currently, Keirsten provides counseling services through her private practice for adolescents and adults including families and couples struggling with the issues of divorce. Additionally, Keirsten offers Parenting Coordination (PC) services for divorced parents working independently or through the court systems.

What is Parenting Coordination?

Parenting Coordination is an ongoing service offered to assist divorcing or divorced parents who are experiencing conflict regarding co-parenting their children. The ultimate goal of Parenting Coordination is to allow children to grow and flourish with the loving, cooperative involvement of both parents. Additional benefits of Parenting Coordination include:

• reduction in court litigation
• improved child/parent relationships
• improved co-parent relationships
• reduction in stress and
• improved communication between co-parents

What are Counseling Services?

Counseling services offer people the opportunity to heal suffering, to increase well-being and to explore and ultimately understand and move through emotional and psychological obstacles in their lives. It is my belief that effective counseling is guided by the expertise you have about yourself and your willingness to enter into a mutually respectful and professional relationship with a counselor. It is normal to experience uncomfortable feelings such as sadness, anger, frustration, guilt and helplessness during the therapeutic process as well as difficulties in relationships and/or life routines as you make positive changes. On the other hand, counseling has been shown to have benefits such as solutions to specific problems, better relationships and significant reductions in distressful feelings. There are, however, no guarantees in what each individual will experience through counseling. Keirsten accepts most major insurance companies.
